于是我在知乎的平台上做了一些补充,现在贴在下面吧~ Calligraphy is the practice of writing and designing with beautiful handwriting. In traditional Asian cultures, calligraphy plays a significant role in art and design but also in daily life to express one's feelings or thoughts through written words. As an art form, it has been practiced for hundreds and thousands of years all over East Asia including China, Korea, Japan etc. Although each country had their own unique style on developing this skill, there are some general characteristics that link them together as well as help distinguish between various styles. The most obvious difference lies within stroke order which determines sequence of movements when writing the characters. Strokes can be grouped into four major categories: vertical strokes (vertical/diagonal);horizontal strokes (horizontal/slanted); spiral strokes (inclined diagonals /concerning Japanese Kanji only); and round strokes (round/rounded). Each group consists of several individual strokes so that different combinations result in numerous calligraphic scripts. For instance, Chinese calligraphy usually follows horizontal-first approach whereas Korean Hanja script tends to follow vertical-first method while Japanese use both methods depending on context. Furthermore, calligraphers might vary their choices based on their personal liking or purpose such as creating decorative work or everyday texts. It should come as no surprise that variations exist even though they may fall under same category. Let us look at Hanja examples first by classifying according to stroke type:
Hanja Script Written Horizontally First: This style shares similar traits with Chinese style since it uses horizontal strokes as the main focus. However, because of different strokes used plus the fact that Koreans write from right to left, these letters exhibit more angularity than its Chinese
